Fellow Runners,
Back on July 10th, Blair Howard ran a mountainous 100K in Idaho in 16 hours.
On July 17th, Martin Sengo and Aryn Yancher completed the Tahoe Rim Trail 100-miler.
That same day at the Salt Point trail race up in Jenner, Jen Schmidt won the women's 50K and set a new course record. Lilly Hayden and Allison Alcalay ran the 26K, with Allison placing in her age group. Paige Kouba won the women's 15K, and Joann Helmus won her age group. Mark Helmus won his own age group in the 9K.
On Sunday, July 18th, several GVHers ran Blood, Sweat, and Beers up in Auburn. Steve Shaffer led GVH in the 5.9-mile short course, followed closely by Hilary Stevens and Sarah Hyrnick. Juan Sanchez and Jim Samartino ran the 10.5-mile long course.
Up in Squaw Valley, Jim Flanigan won his age group at the Squaw Mountain ascent on Saturday, July 24th.
