Fellow Runners,
It was warm at the Catalina Island Marathon on Saturday. Bruce Fisher and Laurin Beckhusen ran the 10K, and Ed Ballerini the marathon. Each won age group prizes.
Cameron Tully-Smith ran the Marin Ultra Challenge 50-miler with lots of climbing.
The Shamrock'n 5K and 10K were held in Sacramento on Saturday. Juan Sanchez and Jamie Henson ran the 5K; John Collins and Jonathan London did the 10K. Ernie Shimizu and Mike Brown ran the half marathon, which was held on Sunday.
Over in the East Bay, Joannie Siegler, Angie Hart, and Carolyn Summers ran the Dublin Shamrock 5K. Joannie took fourth place in the women's race, and Angie won an age group prize.
Out in San Francisco, Jim Flanigan ran the Coastal Trail 10K put on by the Dolphin South End Running Club.
