Fellow Runners,

Joseph Huang and Ernie Shimizu ran the "Run for a Safe Haven" 5K fundraiser on Saturday.  Each placed in his respective age group.

At the cross country meet in Martinez, the women's team was led by Sylvie Jebiwott, Joannie Siegler, and Lauren Prince.  The masters men were led by David Gerner, Bob Randel, and Mark Drake.

On Sunday, Jim Flanigan participated in the 100th running of the Statuto Foot Race, an 8K in San Francisco.  Heavy rain and wind did not deter the 152 finishers.  Jim placed second in his age group.

Farther east, former club president Steve Andrews ran the Loco Marathon in New Hampshire in 2:38.
