Fellow Runners,

It was a busy week for racing.

At the Idaho Mountain Trail Ultra Festival (IMTUF) on Saturday, Kelly Barber ran a hilly 100-miler. Cameron Tully-Smith took second in his age group at the Bad Bass half marathon at Lake Chabot regional park.

On Sunday, Ed Ballerini won his age group at the Quitcherbitchin trail race near Yellowstone in Montana.

In Sacramento, Ben Sacks ran the 4-miler at the Buffalo Stampede. Brendan Ward and Jose Zaragoza led GVH in the 10-miler. Mark Murray won his age group.

At the cross country meet in Golden Gate Park, Joanie Siegler led the women, David Gerner the masters men, and Ryan Polischuk represented the open men.

Down in Santa Cruz, Reed Thayer completed a half ironman in under five hours.

Jim Flanigan ran from the shore of Mono Lake up to Tioga Pass, gaining 3300 feet in 12.4 miles.
