Fellow Runners,

A missed result from August 17: Blair Howard took fifth place at the hilly Star City trail half down in south San Francisco.

This Saturday, Galen Farris took third place at the Race for the Arts 5K in downtown Sacramento. Brendan Ward was less than a minute behind.

Cross country raced in Santa Rosa this week. Joannie Siegler was our lone female representative. Steve Barton and Joachim Schnier ran for masters men. Chris Rodriguez, Tommy Vargas, and Jose Zaragoza led the open men, with David Gerner moving down from the masters to get some faster competition.

Several club members raced the Santa Rosa Marathon the next day. Christina Dicker ran the half. Xiaowei Yang and Michael Fan led GVH in the marathon. Sandy Lamanna finished under four hours. Ernie Shimizu, Mike Lemaire, and Shu Yu finished as well.
