Results 7/22 - 7/28/2019

Fellow Runners,

First, a missed result: Ian Grettenberger ran 100 miles at the Palisades trail race in Idaho back on July 19, finishing in 28 hours and taking fourth place.

On Saturday, Zach Mills competed in a mile race on the field before a minor league baseball game in New Jersey. He took second place and got to throw a ceremonial pitch.

Ben Sacks and Steve Shaffer tackled the IPA River Run 5K in West Sacramento. Ben took fourth place and won his age group.

At another 5K that day, Bob Rowden, Ernie Shimizu, and Don Hagen ran the Fab 40's in Sacramento. Bob and Don placed in their age groups.

In San Francisco on Sunday, Cecu Zhu led GVH at the half marathon, followed by Bud Haas and Cathrine Lemaire, who took second in her age group.

Mark Murray won his age group at the marathon in just over three hours, only 90 seconds slower than when he ran SF as his marathon debut 40 years ago. Bingbiao Eric Fang, Annette Hulbert, and Mike Lemaire also completed the marathon.

Marrie Argentine Chen won the women's race at the Blood, Sweat, and Beers short course up in Auburn. David Haake won his age group.

Juan Sanchez, Ben Sacks, Roman and Melissa Huff, and Jeff Steele all finished the 10-mile long course.

Down at Wharf to Wharf in Santa Cruz, Jamie Henson scored a two-minute PR.
