Fellow Runners,

Craighton Chin reports the following:

"It was 100 degrees in Davis and 60 degrees with the fog rolling in on the San Francisco Kezar stadium track last Wednesday evening. Perfect weather for a 5K. The race had 8 heats based on the runner's projected time. I encourage you to run the next race on August 17th if you want to try to get a fast 5K over an accurate distance under optimal conditions."

The Blood, Sweat, and Beers trail race took place in Auburn on Saturday. Sharon Hanks and Steve Shaffer each won an age group prize on the short course. Cristina Dalton and Mike and Cathrine Lemaire ran the long course, with Cathrine taking an age group win.

At the San Francisco marathon, Matt Young, Mike Brown, and Angie Hart ran the first half. Joseph Huang, Julia Croteau, Shu Yu, and Ernie Shimizu ran the second half. Eric Fang and Juan Sanchez ran the full (with fast times).
