Results 5/13 - 5/19/2019

Fellow Runners,

The Folsom Trail Run Series hosts 5K and 10K races every Thursday evening between May 2nd and June 6th. Folsom native Bob Rowden has been running Thursday 10K's, joined by Jim Flanigan.

Two missed results from Saturday, May 11: Tommy Vargas won the Wildcat Trail half marathon in the hills north of Berkeley, and Andrew Liu competed in the Folsom Lake International Triathlon.

On Saturday, May 18th, Scott Sambucci took a 30-hour jog through the mountains of Utah to complete the Bryce Canyon 100-miler, bagging a Western States qualifier.

In the South Bay, Jen Schmidt won the woman's race at the hilly Mount Diablo 10K.

In Sacramento, Andrew Liu took third place in the Serotonin Surge 5K. Cynthia Chak paced her daughter Chloe for her first 5K. Ernie Shimizu and Bryan Pro ran the 10K.

On the UC Davis campus, Nancy Rashid was the fifth woman to cross the finish line at the Moove Your Hooves 5K.

The massive Bay to Breakers race clogged up San Francisco on Sunday morning. Jim Samartino, Constance Coman, and Steve McSorley ran 12K, while Zach Mills and Jane Sykes ran the extended course with an extra helping of hill.

In Berkeley, Craighton Chin, Ben Sacks, Steve Shaffer, Brigette Haddock, and Beth Bourne ran the Tilden Tough Ten trail race.

Allison Orofino took her age group at the Gold Country 5K in El Dorado Hills.

And Jonathan Howard ran the Davis Pride 5K.
