Results 4/22 - 4/28/2019
Fellow Runners,
Racing this week began on Saturday with the American River Parkway half marathon. Eric Chak earned yet another PR for 2019 with 1:32. Juan Sanchez placed in his age group and Cynthia Chak led the GVH women.
In Vacaville, John Lynch and Peter Friederich ran the 5K Loop around the Lagoon, winning their respective age groups. Sandy Lamanna and Laurin Beckhusen took on the 10K Tower Challenge. Sandy earned third place in the women's race, and Laurin placed in his age group.
At the hilly Canyons trail race up in Foresthill, Martin Sengo, Krista Hoffman, and Chris Brown ran 25K, and Chris Dalton, Kelly Barber, and Clayton Kleppinger finished 100K.
Out in the Bay Area, Jane Sykes took third in the women's race at the Romancing the Island trail half. Nearby, Blair Howard took third at the Rodeo Beach Rumble 30K.
On Sunday, Zach Mills did another mountain bike race in Georgia.
Ed Ballerini, Bingbiao Eric Fang, and Lynn Delgado ran the famous Big Sur marathon.
At the Stride for Aggie Pride 5K in Davis, Nancy Rashid won the women's race in 20 minutes flat, accompanied by all three of her sons. Nicholas Pinter won his age group, and Ernie Shimizu placed in his age group.
Down in southern California, Angie Hart placed in her age group at the La Jolla half marathon.
