Fellow Runners,

Cathrine and Mike Lemaire started off Sunday morning by running the Kauai Marathon. Cathrine won her age group. As Mike put it on Strava: "Hot, humid, rain, hills, and Hula dancers. What more can you ask for?"

Closer to home, the Golden Valley Harriers hosted the Lagoon Valley Cross Country Challenge in Vacaville. Sylvia Jebiwott, Nancy Rashid, and Cristina Dalton led the women's team. Bob Randel, Michael Sweeney, and Jason Duquette led the masters men. James Schulmeister represented the open men.

Monday saw the Labor Day race return to Davis. Mason Tope won the 5K outright, with Juan Sanchez taking fourth place and Joe Taxiera winning his age group. Lauren Prince was the fourth woman to finish the 10K, with Joseph Huang, Jim Farrar, Bruce Fisher, and Renvelyn Grey winning age group prizes.
