Weekend Race Results (4/24-4/30)

Fellow Runners,
We had a very busy weekend for racing!
At the American River Parkway on Saturday, April 29, Beth Zinkand Michel took fourth place overall in the 5K. John Burmester and David Haake each took second in their respective age groups.
In the half marathon, GVH was led by Rebecca Barney with 1:33:48. Juan Sanchez and Emily Cartwright were right behind her.
Meanwhile, out on the Western States trail, Kelly Barber and Travis Schultz raced the Canyons 100K, each with amazing times.
At the Folsom Lake 35K, Kevin Kamai took fourth place, followed by Bryan Pro.
Sunday, April 30, started with the Big Sur Marathon. Scott Martin, Ben Sacks, and Laurin Beckhusen ran the 21-miler, while Annie Ciernia, Lauren Lechmaier, Bud Haas, Allison Alcalay, Jamie Henson, and Lynn Delgado ran the marathon. Annie earned a Boston Qualifier with 3:22.
Here in Davis, several GVHer's ran the Stride for Aggie Pride 5K. Steve Andrews led GVH in 5th place overall. Mark Murray won his age group. Nancy Rashid, Rachel Boddy, Cristina Ramirez and Nicholas Pinter each took second in their respective age groups. Jim Flanigan also won his age group. Special thanks to Jim for his help with these results!
