Weekend Race Results (4/23-4/29)

Fellow Runners,
Lots of results to report. Last week, Scott Sambucci ran the Zion 100-mile race and took second in his age group. Angie Hart also took second in her age group at the La Jolla Half.
On Saturday, April 28, Brendan Ward won the Loop the Lagoon 5K in Vacaville with a time of 18:03, bettering his winning time from last year. John Lynch, Peter Friederich, and Bud Haas followed, with John and Peter placing in their age groups. Nancy Rashid took third in the 10K Tower Challenge, with David Gerner and Laurin Beckhusen each placing in their age groups.
Up in Foresthill, Martin Sengo ran the 50K at Canyons. Di Wu and Chris Dalton finished the 100K.
Sunday started here in Davis with the Stride for Aggie Pride 5K. Michael Pate led GVH with a time of 18:22. Nancy Rashid, Louise Debefve, Cristina Ramirez, Amy Becker, and Nuala del Piccolo followed, with almost everyone placing in their respective age groups.
In Elk Grove, Cynthia Chak and Allison Alcalay ran the Running of the Elk Half Marathon. Cynthia took sixth in the women's race, and Allison earned a sub-two-hour PR.
Mike Lemaire ran the San Luis Obispo Marathon and took second in his age group.
At Big Sur, Nick Harrod ran the 11-miler. Lynn Delgado, Shu Yu, and Ernie Shimizu finished the marathon.
